About The Position

The position is for an Inventory Management Specialist at the Albany Marine Corps Logistics Base, GA. The role involves serving as the material support point of contact for maintenance customers, providing long-range, mid-range, and short-term material support planning for established and future production workloads. The specialist will analyze customer forecasting, requisitioning, usage, and returns to identify trends, compile and review production data to ensure material support and stock control goals are met, and recommend alternate strategies to solve material support issues. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Flexible tour of duty.
  • Non-Critical Sensitive security requirements.
  • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination.
  • Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce position. Must complete DoD certification and other requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the material support point of contact (POC) for maintenance customers.
  • Provides long range, mid-range, and short term material support planning for established and future production workloads.
  • Analyzes customer forecasting, requisitioning, usage, and returns to identify trends.
  • Compiles and reviews production data to assure material support and stock control goals are met.
  • Recommends alternate strategies to solve material support issues.
  • Provides recommendations for improvements to existing supply policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and expediency of processes.
  • Monitors and evaluates material usage and customer demand patterns to recommend retail stock levels.
  • Represents DLA Land and Maritime when attending or conducting meetings on activities supported to recommend operational policy and procedures.
