About the position

The Investment Associate role in Portfolio Management at Dimensional Fund Advisors focuses on supporting the management of investment portfolios, particularly in equities. The position involves collaborating with various departments to ensure effective portfolio oversight and implementing the firm's investment philosophy. Investment Associates will gradually take on more responsibilities, including decision-making and managing specific portfolios, while also identifying improvements in the investment process.

Responsibilities

• Support the Portfolio Management Team in daily management of portfolios and processes.
• Contribute to decision-making and manage a group of portfolios over time.
• Monitor portfolio characteristics and maintain portfolio structure.
• Identify areas for improvement in the investment process and propose solutions.
• Trade foreign currency, generate trade requests, and elect on corporate actions.
• Evaluate the quality of the investment universe.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Several years' experience in financial services.
• Strong philosophical alignment with Dimensional's investment strategy.
• Excellent quantitative problem-solving and analytic skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and solid communication skills.
• Comfort with large data sets and high attention to detail.
• Strong time-management skills and aptitude for learning basic computer programming languages.
• Knowledge of SQL, VBA, and Excel is helpful.
