About the position

The Investment Operations Manager will oversee the workflow and processes within the investment operations team, ensuring compliance and optimizing operational efficiency. This role involves managing a team, enhancing service delivery to credit union members, and implementing new technologies and strategies to improve investment operations. The manager will also be responsible for coaching team members, developing training programs, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall performance of sales operations to deliver optimal member experience.
  • Provide coaching and support for career development to the operations team.
  • Lead regular team meetings to discuss operational updates, goals, and challenges.
  • Develop training programs and resources to enhance team performance and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Assign tasks and projects to team members, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manage and resolve operational issues in a timely manner, collaborating with senior management as necessary.
  • Gain and maintain proficiency in current broker dealer workflows and procedures.
  • Implement new technologies or strategies to streamline investment operations.
  • Conduct regular reviews of workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration and communication across the organization.
  • Ensure all investment operations comply with regulatory and legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of operations experience, preferably within a credit union or financial institution.
  • Proven leadership experience managing small teams.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a focus on process improvement.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development.
  • Proficiency with investment management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Securities license 7, 63, or 65/66 and Washington State Life license or the ability to achieve in the first two years.
  • Experience in an Investment firm.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products and services, as well as industry regulations (FINRA, SEC, etc.).
