About The Position

The IS Analyst III at Calpine Corporation is responsible for gathering design, coordination, testing, and support of customer intelligence reporting and analytic needs. This role acts as a liaison between IT and business to ensure proper testing meets requirements, assesses policy effectiveness, and implements best practices for communication and publication. The analyst will coordinate and lead business requirements gathering meetings, provide support and training for system operations, and maintain relevant documentation reflecting system changes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• Microsoft Certification on Azure Technologies.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Software Engineer or related, building applications using Microsoft Technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Power Platform, and developing Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views in SQL Server.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and building solutions using Cloud Technologies, SPFx, and .Net MVC.
• Knowledge of working in RPA technologies like UIPath and Automation Anywhere.
• Clear and concise communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
• Experience in the Energy Industry.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with building custom SharePoint Solutions in SPFx.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather design, coordination, testing, and support of customer intelligence reporting and analytic needs.
• Act as a liaison between IT and business to ensure proper testing meets requirements.
• Assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of policies.
• Identify and implement best practices for communication and publication.
• Coordinate and lead business requirements gathering meetings with management and business users.
• Provide support and training associated with the operation of systems, including induction and refresher training.
• Support installed applications and ongoing development efforts, mainly in Microsoft Technologies.
• Meet clients to understand business needs and gather requirements.
• Write detailed specifications for programming requests and system interfaces.
• Design and build IT solutions to solve business requirements using Cloud Technologies like SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure.
• Help business users migrate Legacy SharePoint to Microsoft SharePoint Cloud.
• Develop custom apps in Power Platforms and build automated solutions using RPA technologies.
• Provide L3 support for third-party and custom applications.
