About the position

The IT Asset Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of asset tracking within the organization. This position involves defining processes related to asset management and assisting with the migration of data to a new platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing hardware asset data, ensuring the accuracy of the asset repository, and implementing best practices for asset tracking. The organization has recently adopted ServiceNow's Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) modules, and the IT Asset Manager will be instrumental in supporting the transition to these new systems. This includes analyzing existing asset data for accuracy, performing data entry, and managing data imports to ensure a seamless migration process. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying change conditions and developing new standards for asset management that align with the organization's goals.

Responsibilities

• Track and manage hardware assets efficiently.
• Define and implement processes for asset management.
• Assist with data transfers to the new platform.
• Analyze asset data for accuracy in the repository.
• Support the migration of data to ServiceNow SAM/HAM modules.
• Create new standards for asset tracking.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with hardware asset data.
• Experience with data entry and data import processes.
• ServiceNow HAM/SAM admin experience.
