About the position

The Florida Department of Revenue invites you to apply for the position of IT Auditor - SES within the Office of Inspector General. This role involves performing information technology audits and management reviews, ensuring compliance with professional auditing standards. The incumbent will prepare reports on audit findings and communicate results effectively. Responsibilities

  • Follow the Department of Revenue Standards of Conduct and model ethical behavior.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct information technology audits and management reviews.
  • Prepare reports containing the results of audits and communicate findings.
  • Participate in the annual ISO 20000 engagement of the Information Services Program.
  • Advise and assist the Director of Auditing and the Inspector General on technical matters.
  • Train and mentor junior Internal Audit staff.
  • Appraise the adequacy of corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
  • Consult with supervisors on management information systems to reduce IT risks.
  • Complete required continuing professional education training.

Requirements

  • At least two years of professional experience conducting internal or external audits.
  • Complete training related to conducting the ISO 20000 engagement within the first year of employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Information System Auditors (CISA) certification or similar IT certification.
  • Knowledge of global internal audit standards issued by the IIA.
  • Knowledge of IT frameworks and methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to analyze and utilize applicable laws, rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to organize data for presentations in reports and documents.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
