About the position

As an IT Customer Service Support Specialist at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the safety and security of our nation by providing technical support and customer service for mobile devices. This position involves validating IT requirements, managing mobile device inventory, and troubleshooting various technical issues to ensure smooth operations in a high-paced business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform IT requirements validation for mobile devices support.
  • Activate, configure, set up, issue, and troubleshoot mobile devices.
  • Maintain and manage mobile devices inventory.
  • Provide superior customer service support.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, telephone, and video issues.
  • Deploy and test hardware and software.
  • Utilize an enterprise ticketing system for issue tracking.
  • Support VTC/Skype and troubleshoot related issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience in technical support or help desk roles.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting various versions of the Windows platform and internet browsers.
  • Proven ability to provide superior customer service support.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, telephone, and video issues.
  • Experience deploying and testing hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems.
  • Critical thinking skills for troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Experience with VTC support.
