IT Engineer Senior Staff – DevOps

Qualcomm, a global leader in semiconductor technology, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in building and maintaining mission critical applications and services. This critical role represents a strategic mix of deploying new technologies, modernizing traditional services, roll out of new capabilities. As a Qualcomm IT DevOps Engineer, you will be at the forefront of delivering end-to-end solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address their business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevSecOps efforts through automation, debugging, and implementing solutions to improve applications performance, reliability and scalability.
• Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge technologies and solutions including SaaS that enhance developer productivity enhancements.
• Leverage expert Software Application knowledge to provide critical technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations product demonstrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex engineering needs into actionable architectural solutions.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both engineering and non-technical executive-level stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide other engineers and technical teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning in DevSecOps practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• 9+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• Physical Requirements: Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of Software Applications Engineering and DevOps or related work experience.
• Prior experience with technical leadership responsibility.
