About the position

The IT Helpdesk Support Specialist at Triton International is a temporary position responsible for providing essential technical support to users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations across workstations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the efficiency of IT services and contributes to the overall mission of supporting global supply chains.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with imaging, maintenance, and deployment of workstations and peripherals.
  • Perform approved software installations and upgrades.
  • Verify backup jobs and monitor the IT Support inbox and phone calls.
  • Document requests and problems in the Helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Escalate issues to the Lead Support Specialist as needed.
  • Ensure user workstations are secure, up to date with antivirus software, and patched with the latest updates.
  • Assist in incident response and follow up on workstations with security vulnerabilities.
  • Assist with administrative tasks like user setup and mobile device deployment.
  • Submit daily recap reports and contribute to daily team meetings.
  • Complete office audits to ensure workstations meet company standards.
  • Work on special projects assigned by management.
  • Provide feedback on recurring issues and suggest process improvements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of IT Help Desk experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows 11, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and Jira Service Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of hardware installation and configuration of laptops and desktops.

Nice-to-haves

  • IT Certification(s) a plus.
  • Available to provide Holiday coverage and additional coverage when needed for all shifts.
