About the position

The IT Implementation Specialist is responsible for overseeing the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Program from its implementation to daily operations. This role involves training users on the optimal use of the EHR, serving as a Super User, and creating training materials. The specialist will also act as a Subject Matter Expert on internal EHR and IT projects, enhancing workflows while ensuring compliance with system requirements. Additionally, the position supports information technology operations and assists with the development and upgrading of the EHR system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Program from implementation to daily operations.
• Train users on the optimal use of the EHR system.
• Create training materials and schedules for CVMG staff and Providers.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert on internal EHR and IT projects.
• Enhance workflows while meeting system requirements.
• Support information technology operations at assigned locations.
• Maintain expertise with tools used to enhance application software.
• Assist with the development, support, and upgrading of the EHR system.
• Stay updated on the latest processes and IT advancements in healthcare.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or equivalent experience in healthcare computer software applications.
• Three years of previous EHR and/or training experience.
• Advanced computer skills with clinical software applications.
• Experience with compliance issues including HIPAA, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
• Proficiency in information system database applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in health informatics.
• Five years of previous healthcare experience.
• Expertise in project management and IBM Cognos report writers.
• Prior experience with eClinicalWorks EHR in an ambulatory care setting.
