As the IT Intern, you are responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users by responding to inquiries, diagnosing, and resolving basic hardware and software issues, and escalating complex problems to the internal IT team. Your primary goal is to ensure that end-users have a positive experience, and their technical issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist IT team when end-users are seeking technical assistance through various channels, including phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries and issues.
  • Assist the IT team to troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software, and network problems reported by end-users.
  • Guide end-users through step-by-step solutions and provide accurate resolutions to common technical problems.
  • Install company approved applications on company owned devices.
  • Identify and escalate more complex issues to higher-level support teams or appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of end-user interactions and issue resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for issue resolution, including documenting solutions and workarounds.
  • Collaborate with other members of the IT team to assist with projects, deployments, and upgrades.
  • Keep abreast of current technology trends and participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, MacOS) and productivity applications (Microsoft Office and Adobe).
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Ability to troubleshoot PC’s, printers, phones, monitors, keyboards, mice, docking stations, personal cameras for meetings, and conference room setups.
  • U.S. Work Authorization (required).
