About the position

The IT Portfolio Manager - Operations at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is responsible for leading complex healthcare IT initiatives, providing strategic program and portfolio management. This role involves building interdisciplinary teams, mentoring project management staff, and ensuring the successful execution of program objectives and deliverables. The position requires a deep understanding of project lifecycle methodologies and the ability to manage competing demands across various projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide team leadership and support to the IT PMO Associate Director.
• Manage enterprise-wide and high complexity programs and projects from initiation to close.
• Establish organizational structure to coordinate, track, and report on multiple projects.
• Mentor PMO project management staff on project and career growth.
• Identify and manage program and project risks, scope, schedule, and budget.
• Build long-term relationships with stakeholders across patient care, research, and education.
• Lead strategy for alignment and deliverables with third-party vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
• 8 years of experience in formal project leadership with various project lifecycle methodologies (waterfall, agile, iterative, etc.).
