About the position

The IT Project Manager II is responsible for establishing and leading enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives. Project Manager II's lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. The role requires a single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given strategic initiative, ensuring end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit. The Project Manager II is accountable for one or more initiatives including business, operational, and IT deliverables, rigorously managing scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters. The position also involves validating financial forecasts, developing communication plans, leading a continuous risk management process, and serving as a subject matter expert in briefing key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Define, plan, orchestrate, and deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit.
  • Accountable for one or more initiatives including business, operational, and IT deliverables.
  • Manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Validate financial forecasts and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and project expenditures.
  • Develop communication plans and interfaces to execute on responsibilities.
  • Lead a continuous risk management process to identify and assess risks.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in briefing key stakeholders.
  • Represent the project in various project governance and inter-department forums.
  • Facilitate key project meetings.
  • Develop project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts.
  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
  • Publish periodic project status reports.

Requirements

  • College Graduate - Preferred.
  • 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3 or more years of Project Management experience - Required.
  • PMP Preferred.
