About the position

The IT Project Manager (Sysanalysis) position within the Department of Defense's Hybrid Cloud Broker Office is a critical role designed to support the mission of the US Cyber Command. This position is classified under the Cyber Excepted Service and is essential for the planning, development, implementation, integration, and coordination of Information Technology (IT) requirements across various projects. The incumbent will be responsible for evaluating, defining, designing, coordinating, and performing needs analysis of current cloud applications, architecture, infrastructures, plans, and policies to address both existing and new requirements. This role requires the preparation and delivery of briefings, reports, and recommendations to high-level personnel within the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and other Department of Defense (DOD) components, ensuring effective communication and alignment of IT initiatives with organizational objectives. In addition to project management responsibilities, the IT Project Manager will coordinate and collaborate with other IT specialists, cloud analysts, cybersecurity personnel, and various stakeholders to design and implement a user-driven secure access experience across platforms. Attendance at meetings and conferences will facilitate the exchange of information on IT system engineering, implementation, and sustainment. The position is full-time and offers telework eligibility as determined by agency policy, with occasional travel expected for project-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, implement, integrate, and coordinate IT requirements for various projects.
  • Evaluate, define, design, coordinate, and perform needs analysis of current cloud applications and infrastructure.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and recommendations to high-level personnel within DISA and DOD components.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with IT specialists, cloud analysts, and cybersecurity workforce to design secure access experiences.
  • Attend meetings and conferences to exchange information on IT system engineering and implementation.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience in IT orchestration with a broad understanding of cloud computing technologies and commercial providers.
  • Extensive experience in senior customer management roles with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at evaluating business needs and practices to determine customer requirements.
  • Expertise in operating systems, applications software, and IT policies to devise effective cloud computing solutions.
  • Experience in planning, designing, and implementing new and enhanced information systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Cyber Excepted Service personnel system.
  • Familiarity with the Department of Defense policies and procedures.
