The Executive Office of Education's Information Technology Group (EOE IT) strives to connect and empower communities of learners, from birth to college to the workforce, by building and supporting innovative systems that facilitate positive outcomes for all. We are a diverse team of professionals dedicated to ensuring that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts remains the national leader in education. As EOE IT strives to improve the delivery of IT services, we seek an experienced and motivated IT Project Manager who will partner with agency stakeholders to obtain requirements, evaluate and determine objectives, goals, and scope of multiple projects, as well as collaborate with peers across the Commonwealth's education agencies in a matrixed organization structure. Reporting to the Senior IT Program and Portfolio Manager, the IT Project Manager will create, monitor, and provide ongoing communication to appropriate IT and agency stakeholders, report risk areas and partner with the business on strategies to address concerns, manage dependencies between projects, develop detailed project plans, and ensure accurate and up to date documentation. This individual must have experience juggling multiple projects of varying sizes, preferably in the public sector, be hands on in understanding project requirements, and be willing to jump in to fill gaps or assume management of projects that are off course. This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in making the jump to project management whose had demonstrated success in adjacent or other roles. Analytical, detailed oriented and a strong but diplomatic personality will be best suited for this role.
