About the position

The Computer Engineer position at Diodes Incorporated is part of the Information Technology Quality and Yield Management Team, focusing on enhancing the operational effectiveness of global quality systems. The role involves administering, maintaining, and developing software for engineering analysis, data management, and quality systems, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing automation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation to develop and deliver novel solutions for engineering analysis and manufacturing automation.
  • Administer, maintain, and enhance software solutions for engineering analysis.
  • Facilitate meetings with Process and Maintenance Engineering stakeholders.
  • Document business and systems requirements, data, and application designs.
  • Troubleshoot code and process issues in a manufacturing environment to ensure operational continuity.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across different regions.
  • Communicate effectively with IT and business stakeholders regarding project status and findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable experience with scripting languages such as Python or TCL/TK.
  • Understanding of DevOps and software development lifecycles like Agile and Waterfall.
  • Ability to document and communicate technical requirements and solutions effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Django Framework (Python based).
  • Familiarity with ECharts (JavaScript based Data Visualization Library).
  • Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
