The IT Security Technical Writer will play a crucial role in the Security organization by documenting the services provided by the organization. This position requires a seasoned technical writer with at least 5 years of experience in technical documentation, particularly in the areas of architecture and design. The writer will be responsible for creating customer-facing documentation aimed at internal employees, ensuring that the content is clear, organized, and accessible. The role involves collaborating with IT and organizational teams to understand their processes and translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation. The day-to-day responsibilities include writing and organizing documentation that outlines the services offered by the organization, as well as developing comprehensive documentation that adheres to organizational standards. The writer will also be involved in the development of use cases and test cases, participating in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for quickly grasping complex technical concepts and will be able to produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is tailored to its intended audience. In addition to technical writing, the role requires the ability to manage time effectively and work independently. The writer will need to demonstrate superior attention to detail and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The position is fully remote, and candidates should be available to work within North American time zones, from EST to PST. A portfolio showcasing previous work in technical writing, particularly in the areas of installation guides, software applications, and architecture documentation, is a must for applicants.
