About the position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center - Opening in 2025! When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transport. We are seeking an IT Sr. Clinical Analyst (Full Time). Our ideal candidate will be a part of the clinical information systems team, including ED & OR systems, and will perform liaison duties associated with the implementation, support, and maintenance for all aspects of the clinical information systems. This position provides problem tracking, resolution, on-going enhancement requests, active participation in systems testing, workflow redesign, change management, and continual education to facility employees and physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Provide problem tracking and resolution.
  • Handle ongoing enhancement requests.
  • Participate actively in systems testing.
  • Engage in workflow redesign and change management.
  • Provide continual education to facility employees and physicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Science or Healthcare with a minimum of 5 years experience in a healthcare, clinical, or health IT setting OR Master's degree in health information technology field with 3 years of experience.
  • Professional clinical degree.
  • Implementation experience with hospital clinical applications.
  • Previous experience in nursing or clinical informatics preferred, to include Siemens, Opus, or other clinical systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner preferred).
  • Ability to work with end users to determine software specifications, hardware requirements and process improvement workflows.
  • Demonstration of strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of clinical workflow and operational processes within a department or interdepartmentally.
  • Comfortable and confident interacting with physicians and clinicians at all levels.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Exhibits or has performed in a leadership role.
