About the position

The Senior Product Owner at CNA serves as the customer proxy to the Agile team, responsible for prioritizing work based on business value and functionality. This role involves analyzing complex business processes, defining user stories, and collaborating with Agile teams to ensure quality and value delivery. The Senior Product Owner will focus on driving data requirements for delegated underwriting programs and will work closely with stakeholders to support various business processes.

Responsibilities

• Support one to two Agile Scrum teams on initiatives of medium to large complexity.
• Own, define, and prioritize the team backlog, establishing story acceptance criteria and driving content via prioritized user stories.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies alongside the Scrum Master, ensuring adherence to Scrum values and fostering continuous improvement.
• Lead Product Backlog Refinement, providing information to the team for technical feasibility and scope estimates.
• Build customer and user insights into all stages of the Scrum planning and execution process.
• Proactively analyze metrics and recommend changes to the product based on feedback loops.
• Inspire and motivate the team, fostering a trusting and safe environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with three years' experience within the Commercial insurance industry.
• Knowledge of policy administration systems, policy lifecycle processes, and product definition.
• Experience in driving data needs across multiple internal and external business stakeholders.
• Ability to partner closely with agile team members on technical requirements, including data mapping and validations.
• Multiline P&C experience preferred.
