About the position
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to end-users across various locations, ensuring timely responses to service requests and maintaining IT operations. This role involves troubleshooting software and hardware issues, assisting with network administration, and supporting the onboarding and offboarding of employees. The specialist will also engage in advanced IT operations, including systems administration and software development, while maintaining inventory and documentation of IT resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person and remote technical support for all end-users company-wide.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets in a timely manner, with a required 10-minute reply time.
- Troubleshoot, install, configure, and maintain software and hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, printers, and network equipment.
- Assist end-users with locked accounts and password resets.
- Field questions regarding email legitimacy and investigate potential threats.
- Conduct new employee orientation and assist with onboarding and offboarding procedures.
- Participate in advanced operations such as systems and network administration, including routing, switching, and firewall management.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and document all problems and resolutions.
Requirements
- Experience in network administration and software troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in C#, UNIX, SQL, Firewall, JavaScript, Linux, Python, and PowerShell.
- Ability to provide technical support in a timely manner and maintain documentation.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with ResWare support operations.
- Knowledge of infrastructure wiring and network installation.
