About the position

The IT Support Specialist at GO Riteway Transportation Group plays a crucial role in the organization's IT strategy, focusing on minimizing downtime and managing technical assets. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently on various projects while also collaborating effectively with operations and customers. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining hardware inventory, diagnosing hardware issues, and providing training on operational software.

Responsibilities

• Manages technical assets and maintains hardware inventory.
• Recommends asset purchases and retirements as necessary.
• Manages phone and internet systems at all terminals, including service contracts.
• Diagnoses and resolves computer hardware issues.
• Manages account creation for new employees and coordinates Windows system upgrades.
• Acts as an administrator on all major operational software platforms.
• Serves as a resource for operations on hardware/software issues and provides training when requested.
• Helps manage technology integrations for customers, such as school districts.
• Communicates with operations on any technology-related events.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Specialist, Technician, Helpdesk, or relevant position.
• Strong knowledge of computer networking and Office 365 administration experience.
• Familiarity with SonicWall, Ubiquity, and SQL environments.
• Ability to work independently on projects and collaboratively with IT personnel.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to create written guides for staff.
• Experience training and teaching software systems to non-technical staff.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Willingness to travel to operational terminals within Wisconsin (no overnights required).
