About the position

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues encountered by users across multiple centers. This role involves providing technical support for computer hardware and software, training users, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services. The specialist will cover four locations and will be proactive in preventing issues while maintaining effective communication with management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems for end-users.
  • Provide technical support to end-users regarding computer hardware and software.
  • Install, set up, and test computers and other hardware and software.
  • Train users in various software applications and network-related procedures.
  • Provide onsite and remote support to users across multiple centers.
  • Log requests using service manager, monitor progress, and track problem resolution.
  • Communicate with management regarding unresolved problems and patterns of failure.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with at least two years of coursework in computer sciences.
  • Current experience providing technical desktop and network support in a large multi-platform and multi-operating systems environment.
  • One year of experience and an MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certificate or Comp TIA Certifications.
  • Knowledge of networking and Active Directory environment.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.
  • Additional MCP or Comp TIA Certifications.
