About the position

The IT Support Specialist role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-point devices, applications, and networks. The position requires a strong focus on customer service and the ability to work under direct supervision while being on call. The specialist will be responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows operating systems, as well as assisting with hardware refreshes and peripheral device configurations.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.
• Perform hardware refresh and troubleshoot desktop issues.
• Configure printers and peripheral devices such as scanners and credit card readers.
• Follow established processes to deliver, configure, monitor, test, maintain, and troubleshoot end-point devices and applications.
• Document technical processes and troubleshooting steps accurately.
• Read and interpret technical documentation for hardware and software components.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve moderately complex issues.
• Act as a liaison between customers and vendors to ensure timely resolution of requests and problems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience with installation and configuration of Windows 7 & Windows 10.
• Excellent critical and analytical thinking skills.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for end-point devices.
• Excellent organizational skills and understanding of operations of PCs, software, network switches, and printers.

Nice-to-haves

• Two years experience in IT support.
• Certifications such as A+, Network+, CCENT, CNTS, ACIS preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
