About the position

The IT Support Specialist at Petticoat-Schmitt is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to users, ensuring efficient resolution of IT issues. This role requires a fundamental knowledge of computer systems and networking, along with strong communication skills to interact with various support levels and users. Responsibilities

  • Resolve issues independently or contact vendors directly for assistance
  • Handle day-to-day IT needs to resolution
  • Set up iPads, computers, laptops, printers, and other devices as required
  • Provide support and training for Printers, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and other programs as needed
  • Coordinate vendor training for all Petticoat-Schmitt applications
  • Learn application specific use to conduct field training refreshers as needed
  • Upload forms/reports - BI Reporting
  • Manage routine incidents through resolution and communicate with other IT groups as appropriate
  • Monitor and address all open tickets and issues to ensure that service level agreements and timelines are being met
  • Respond to telephone, email and online requests
  • Formally document and share issue-related and/or preventative knowledge
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support to resolve critical system issues
  • Perform other daily duties/special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent experience
  • General understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and general network knowledge
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of MS Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, Word, and Printers
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to take direction on projects and maintain attention to detail
  • Goal-oriented and able to function under deadlines
  • Valid driver's license
