About the position

The IT Tech Project Manager II is responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing assigned technical projects that include software development, system updates, and integration of third-party solutions. This role collaborates with various teams to ensure projects are well-defined and executed efficiently, while also facilitating risk management and change processes. The position requires ownership of small to mid-sized projects and support for larger initiatives, ensuring accountability and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, monitor, and manage assigned technical projects.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to document project plans including tasks, resources, and timelines.
  • Ensure adequate resource availability and allocation for projects.
  • Identify inter-team dependencies and align project timelines.
  • Monitor and communicate project status and progression to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate resolution of project issues and risks.
  • Manage the technical project change process, including documentation and communication of change requests.
  • Support IT resource planning and allocation across projects.
  • Participate in IT team project activities and may serve as scrum master.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technical, or administration field or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of experience in project management or program management for technical projects.
  • Proficiency in project planning software.
  • Knowledge of project management standards and best practices.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the workers compensation industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of company's products and services preferred.
