About the position

The role of IT Technical Project Manager – Workday is a contract position that requires proven experience in technical program management with a focus on HR system transformations, especially Workday implementations. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of HR technology systems, particularly Workday, and strong project management skills, including experience with project management tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Stellantis Technical Leads and Project Leads to ensure project timeliness and conquer challenges.
  • Ensure effective resource utilization and tracking for the success of the program.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for the workstreams, with clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Maintain and regularly update issue trackers and open item logs, documenting details and ownership for resolution.
  • Formulate and implement actionable plans to address issues while maintaining focus on overarching project goals.
  • Oversee rigorous performance testing to simulate real-world scenarios, identify risks, and address potential system vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to validate test results and incorporate feedback into ongoing system optimization.
  • Provide structured, data-driven updates to executive leadership, emphasizing progress, risks, and strategic decisions.
  • Ensure the quality of project deliverables by overseeing comprehensive testing and validation processes.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to meet the organization's standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical program management with a focus on HR system transformations, especially Workday implementations.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR technology systems, particularly Workday.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Change management experience, including leading teams through significant process and technology changes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical and organizational challenges.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Workday Project Management, are a plus.
