About the position

BrightHouse, a division of the Boston Consulting Group, is seeking an experienced IT Technical Support Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and technical support in a hybrid work environment. The role focuses on maintaining optimal performance of IT systems, assisting end users, and ensuring seamless integration of technology within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily maintenance operations for desktops, laptops, and OS X Servers.
• Directly interact with end users through phone, deskside support, and remote control to address IT needs.
• Deliver comprehensive technical support for Mac and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware components, and operating systems.
• Establish network connections for desktops and laptops to ensure secure connectivity.
• Configure and maintain printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and maintain audio-visual equipment for presentations and meetings.
• Conduct tests for software and hardware compatibility.
• Document technical issues and their resolutions for the knowledge base.
• Maintain a comprehensive inventory of hardware, software resources, and parts.
• Assist in evaluating the company's technological purchases.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers as necessary.
• Undertake additional tasks as delegated by the supervisor.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2-3 years in a Technical Support role, preferably within a consulting environment.
• Profound knowledge of Macintosh Systems, OS X, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Android, iOS, and cloud-based technologies.
• Exceptional communication skills and a positive, solution-focused approach.
• Availability to respond to after-hour calls.
• Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential issues.
• Organized, self-motivated, and exhibits an exemplary work ethic.
• A light level of coding experience is required.
• Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, including generative AI.
