About the position

The Java & Cloud Analytical Developer role at Amentum involves utilizing advanced technologies to develop analytics that pull data from various cyber sources. This position is critical in supporting mission-oriented projects that directly impact national security and intelligence efforts. The developer will work in a collaborative environment, focusing on innovative data representation and automating analytic processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes answering new questions as well as providing better answers to existing questions.
• Develop new ways to represent the data using data science methods and automating analytic processes using machine language frameworks.
• Work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated environment, performing outreach to evangelize product adoption.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and document big data cloud computing workflows.

Requirements

• Experience with Java, Pig
• Customer GHOSTMACHINE analytic development
• Experience with Hadoop (Map Reduce, Accumulo, & Distributed File System (HDFS))
• Experience with Linux
• Bachelor's degree plus 5-years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 3-years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
