About The Position

The Java Developer position at BCforward is focused on driving modernization efforts within Financial Center operations. The role requires a highly motivated full stack engineer with extensive hands-on experience in various technologies. The developer will work as part of a small, technically proficient team, contributing to projects, troubleshooting, and developing proof of concepts for industry-leading applications that assist Financial Center associates in servicing clients. The position demands strong communication skills to document and convey findings to all organizational levels.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree is required.
• Strong experience with UI technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Handlebars.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Hibernate.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and prototype complex Java/J2EE applications.
• Participate in the full application life-cycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release to app store.
• Work with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates.
• Drive a best practices approach to the continuous improvement of products, processes, and tools.
• Write and maintain documentation for all features in development.
• Strong problem-solving and triage skills to handle competing priorities.
