About the position
The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for the routine and emergency repair of industrial electrical systems. This role involves troubleshooting electrical equipment and circuits, performing maintenance and repairs on various electrical components, and ensuring the proper functioning of electrical systems in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency repairs of industrial electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment.
- Conduct maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, and distribution panels.
- Conduct insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to assess their condition.
- Maintain adequate inventories of electrical spare parts and requisition replacements as necessary.
- Document electrical system maintenance histories, noting dates and extent of repairs or alterations.
Requirements
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical equipment and circuits.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, and circuit breakers.
- Experience with electrical motors and distribution panels maintenance.
- Ability to conduct insulation resistance measurements.
