About the position

ASRC is looking for a Junior Data Analyst/Programmer to support a federal contract. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background and the ability to communicate findings effectively to both business and IT leaders. This role requires an inquisitive nature, with the capability to analyze data and identify trends. The Junior Data Analyst/Programmer will explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources, creating flexible data views that answer critical business questions and conducting 'what if' analyses to challenge existing assumptions and processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating conclusions and recommendations across the organization's leadership structure. They will have experience in building and maintaining automated ETL processes, which include ETL mappings, scripts, and programs. Familiarity with PowerApps Dataflows or similar tools is essential. The role also requires knowledge of data mapping to process data from various sources and the ability to convert data into standardized fields for inclusion in a larger repository. Additionally, the Junior Data Analyst/Programmer will be tasked with transforming data using algorithms, scripts, and formulas to drive intelligent actions. They will develop and execute programs to cleanse data by removing bad data, special characters, and duplicates before loading it into structured databases for querying and reporting. Effective communication with business owners and development teams is crucial to accurately identify and document data integration between USPTO data sources and the designated data repository. The ability to work in a remote collaborative environment is also a key requirement. Experience with Power BI is desirable, but equivalent tool experience is acceptable. Knowledge of JavaScript, SharePoint, and JSON will be beneficial, along with experience in Microsoft Power Automate and Dataverse.
