About the position

The Judicial Services Coordinator (JSC) plays a crucial role in the Department of Adult Correction, Division of Community Supervision, by serving as a liaison between the judicial system, community agencies, victims, and offenders. This position is responsible for managing probation cases, ensuring compliance, and maintaining public awareness of community service programs. The JSC will frequently interact with court officials and perform various administrative tasks to support the supervision of offenders, contributing to the mission of public safety and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the agency's representative in court and the community.
• Conduct intake for new supervised and unsupervised probation cases.
• Monitor compliance of offenders sentenced to community service.
• Interview offenders and provide reporting instructions.
• Perform data entry and track case status.
• Process intrastate and interstate transfer cases out of court.
• Provide technical support to staff and process legal documents.
• Conduct pre-sentence, pre-parole, and post-release investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, human services, psychology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience in effective oral and written communication.
• Experience in time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the Community Service Work Program.
• Familiarity with local and community resources for offender placement.
• Court-related work experience.
• Experience with OPUS, CSAS, ICOTS, FMS, AOC software.
