About the position

Did you know that Marel people play a vital role in feeding the world? We are looking for Field Service Engineers who want to have an influence on sustainability and innovation along with satisfaction in being part of the solution and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is the front-line field service representative and is responsible for fulfilling the customer’s expectations during on-site activities. The FSE is experienced in Marel equipment (or equivalent) and works independently, solving technical and/or technological issues for a standard product process. The FSE may mentor junior FSEs and provide basic training.

Responsibilities

  • Provides outstanding service in troubleshooting, repair, installation, maintenance, and customer training for Marel machinery at client sites.
  • Prepares for service activities, offering aftercare for new installations, staying in regular contact with the customer, and reporting on progress.
  • Reports to the Field Service Manager.
  • Extensive travel within the allotted territory.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Other duties assigned as required by the business.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in customer service principles and processes, including assessing customer requirements, ensuring service quality, and evaluating customer satisfaction levels.
  • Customer face-to-face interaction skills and commercial service skills.
  • Social perceptiveness.
  • Technical competence in an engineering discipline.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical and/or Software engineering or similar knowledge level.
  • Technical college degree preferred.
  • Recognized product training on food processing equipment preferred.
  • Strong communicator with analytical skill and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent English skill, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage.
