About the position
The primary responsibility of this position is to teach English Language Arts (ELA) for grades 6-8. Additionally, the teacher will have a secondary responsibility of teaching Art for grades K-8. Students in each grade will meet with their teacher once a week. This extra preparation for the Art classes will result in additional compensation above the standard salary schedule.
Responsibilities
- Teach English Language Arts for grades 6-8.
- Teach Art for grades K-8.
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials for both ELA and Art classes.
- Collaborate with the current Art teacher who will serve as a mentor.
Requirements
- Junior High ELA certification.
- Art certification is not required.
