About the position

The Junior Logistician position at Agile Decision Sciences (ADS) involves supporting the US Coast Guard's Aviation Logistics Center by focusing on the logistics of the aircraft fleet. The role emphasizes planning, modeling, forecasting, and applying supply chain concepts to ensure operational readiness and asset availability. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in logistics and supply chain management within a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating the entire life cycle of a product, focusing on provisioning, internal allocation, demand forecasting, supply planning, and final disposal.
• Formulating, planning, and executing supply optimization using mathematical models and planning software.
• Drafting business case analyses with forecasting variables and sensitivity analysis for mission support decisions.
• Developing a working knowledge of modeling and forecasting methodologies and software used in the industry.
• Learning to develop project timelines, monitor work completion, and draft effective communication.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, Engineering, or Information Systems Management, or BA/BS in any field with 2 years of logistics experience, or 4 years of logistics experience with an Associate's degree or HS Diploma.
• Internship or classroom training with the life cycle of a product, preferably aircraft-related.
• Experience or classroom training with provisioning, internal allocation, distribution, and delivery.
• Experience or classroom training with statistical analysis or modeling.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools or programming languages such as SAS, SPSS, Python, or R.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in formulating, planning, and executing supply optimization using mathematical models.
