Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical field activities
• Perform electrical commissioning
• Troubleshoot, enhance, and support the electrical field engineering team
• Ensure quality and compliance to parameters and codes
• Interact with electrical engineers and staff members to identify, define, and resolve developmental issues
• Specify materials for procurement and monitor material procurement processes to ensure timeliness to support scheduled construction
• Review and interpret design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work
• Understand electrical schematics and locate equipment in the production area
• Use electrical tools to understand issues and correct them

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar
• 1 to 4 years of experience in the electrical and automation industrial environment
• Knowledge of low and high voltage, power, and electrical supply on the production/industrial process
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Knowledge in Rockwell automation technologies (Allen Bradley), PLC programming, and HMI design
• Proven initial experience in electrical cabinet mounting, terminations, and conduit
• Conduct routine tests, evaluate plant machinery, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues
• Maintain sensors and critical process production equipment and ensure proper communication with PLC
• Ensure correct operation of equipment and their connectivity (power and network)
• Maintain strict maintenance schedules for critical systems, logging all repairs and inspections
• Quickly identify non-operative and malfunctioning systems before damage can occur
• Must have electrical experience
• Ability to use diagnostic tools for the analysis of automation problems
• Knowledge of sequential PLC programming
• Knowledge of PLC and HMI communication networks: Profinet, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus DP, Modbus Plus, etc.
• System diagnostic programming
• Advanced level knowledge of the use of hardware/software for SCADAs
• Troubleshoot test failures to determine root causes and develop processes to avoid repeat failure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
