About The Position

The Junior Test Engineer at SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. will support the Sustainment Test and Evaluation Engineer role within the MILSATCOM Program Management Office for the US Space Force. This position involves providing test and evaluation support for various military satellite communication systems, ensuring effective terminal operations, and contributing to the integration of complex space and ground communications systems in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline.
• Knowledge of DoD mission system sustainment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand DoD/USAF test processes and documentation.
• Ability to work with military or DoD civilian clients.

Nice To Haves

• International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification (i.e. ASEP, CSEP, ESEP).
• Experience operating or maintaining specific MILSATCOM systems and cryptographic equipment.
• Ability to attain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, coordinate, and execute testing for various MILSATCOM systems and provide terminal operations support.
• Provide engineering and technician-level support for systems including integration and troubleshooting.
• Identify and isolate software or hardware defects and evaluate system modifications for interoperability issues.
• Author and deliver technical documentation including test plans, procedures, and reports.
