About the position

The Digital Product Owner is responsible for developing and communicating a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with business goals and user needs. This role involves leading agile teams, utilizing data and user research to advocate for customers, and ensuring high-quality product releases. The Digital Product Owner will collaborate across departments to enhance digital experiences and drive digital transformation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision, success criteria, and roadmap based on business goals and user needs.
  • Create and maintain a backlog of features, user scenarios, and integrations to deliver a holistic product experience.
  • Utilize data and user research to act as the customer advocate in the product development process.
  • Define and monitor key product success metrics for usability, engagement, and adoption.
  • Lead agile teams to ensure consistent, high-quality product releases on a predictable cadence.
  • Contribute to digital strategy alignment with business objectives for customer, partner, and employee engagement.
  • Use data-driven insights to guide product decisions and ensure alignment with operational goals.
  • Collaborate across departments, influencing senior leadership, designers, developers, and vendors.
  • Implement feedback-driven improvements to enhance digital experiences based on user and business insights.
  • Work closely with Portfolio Management and Project Management teams for effective project prioritization and tracking.
  • Champion agile methodologies while prioritizing risk mitigation and high-quality digital interactions for customers, employees, and partners.
  • Lead initiatives to develop digital transformation strategies, including content, design, research, and development.
  • Oversee quality standards for outputs from contractors and vendors involved in the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, Human-Centered Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a technology-driven company, with roles such as Product Owner, Product Designer, or similar.
  • Proficiency in agile and design thinking principles, and user-centered design for digital products.
  • Strong background in user research and data analytics, using insights to shape product decisions.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, manage backlogs, and deliver iterative value.
  • Experience translating research, analytics, and feedback into actionable product decisions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accessibility guidelines for digital products.
  • Experience with initiating scrum ceremonies and setting project direction for agile teams.
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing digital products from design through to production and release.
  • Experience managing contractors or vendors for web and mobile interaction design and research.
  • Awareness of emerging communication technologies.
