About the position
We are looking for a skilled engineer to develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC), software development, and system administration in a Linux environment. This role involves working with Confluent Kafka, Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS to build and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of the Kafka platform, including design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Automate platform operations using Ansible, Python, or similar tools.
- Optimize Kafka performance in AWS environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable data solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.
Requirements
- Expertise in Kafka, Kafka Connect, KSQL, and KStreams.
- Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka, Schema Registry, and Kubernetes.
- Strong background in AWS (EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, VPC).
- Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (Python, Shell).
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems and optimizing performance.
- Understanding of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure.
- 3+ years of AWS DevOps experience and Python development.
Nice-to-haves
- Certifications in Confluent Kafka and/or Kubernetes.
