About the position

The Key Account Manager at Danfoss will be responsible for managing a defined territory of key accounts within the Climate Solutions organization. This role focuses on building and maintaining customer relationships, executing account strategies, and coordinating activities to achieve business targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial mindset and be committed to driving sales growth in the Midwest region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account strategy aligned with the overall NAM Climate Solutions strategy and aligned with the Air Conditioning and Commercial Refrigeration (ACR) Perspective.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of key accounts including their business strategy, product life cycle, organization, projects, decision-making processes, and key stakeholders.
  • Secure and maintain a quality opportunity pipeline in SalesForce CRM.
  • Support global platform projects as needed.
  • Coordinate all activities with customers' key decision-makers within NAM, including pricing, projects, support, quality, and supply chain.
  • Work to strengthen the Danfoss-Customer relationship at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Provide market information and intelligence, including market share details, business/product development opportunities, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Coordinate with regional Application Engineers, Business Development Managers, and other Lines of Business members.
  • Communicate territory and customer insights and activities inside Danfoss via SalesForce CRM.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and/or marketing is required.
  • Must possess a technical aptitude, but need not be an engineer.
  • Key Account Planning skills in international B2B technical sales.
  • Proficient in the use of PIS Office Suite products.
  • Willing to travel regionally and internationally as the position requires; estimated to be 50%, mainly within the USA and occasionally internationally.
