The Boeing Design-Build Team is looking for a Lab Test Electrical Design Engineer based out of Berkeley, MO. Within Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E), the Electrical Design Engineer supports Boeing test requirements by providing electrical interface/connection design and fabrication/installation support on test articles as they are adapted and installed for evaluation in the lab environment. Electrical design work in support of testing includes developing connections between test articles/aircraft subsystems and control hardware, required power supplies, facility controls, infrastructure (can include supplied pressure, heating/cooling, power, hydraulics, etc.), and any electrical hardware required in between, such as terminal blocks, break-out boxes, and other hardware simulators. In addition, electrical design support of instrumentation and data system connections can be a part of the scope of responsibilities. Providing support during fabrication, as well as installation/connection and check-out are required to deliver a ready-for-test setup. The primary focus of this position is support to the Environmental lab testing needs of local Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) programs. Test capabilities within the Environmental labs include vibrational/structural dynamics, acoustic, airflow systems, fuel flow systems, high temperature flow impingement, and environmental control chambers, where temperature, humidity, and pressure are varied. At times, design support to other disciplines of testing may be required to meet the needs of Boeing programs.
