About The Position

The Launch Blue Marketing and Communications Ambassador position at the University of Kentucky is a part-time role designed for students, particularly sophomores and juniors, to gain hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and entrepreneurship. This position is part of the Commercialization and Innovation Leadership Program (CILP), which integrates leadership training with practical internship experience. Ambassadors will work closely with the Launch Blue team on various projects, enhancing their skills in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation while building a professional network.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled University of Kentucky student (sophomore or junior level preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to creatively approach projects and balance multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Strong initiative and self-motivated attitude to complete projects with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, startups, and technology.
• Interest in digital marketing and media.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Launch Blue team with various communications projects.
• Manage social media accounts and post on social media channels.
• Update and maintain website content through Squarespace.
• Design graphics and printed materials using Canva.
• Write articles and blogs, conducting interviews with founders, innovators, and experts.
• Create and distribute email newsletters.
• Assist with promotion and production of Launch Blue events.
• Participate in the Commercialization and Innovation Leadership Program (CILP) Training.
