About the position
Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized leader in person-centered care, is seeking a full-time Laundry Assistant at its Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, located on the Westside of Cleveland. The Laundry Assistant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the laundry area, ensuring that all linens and garments are washed, dried, and folded according to the facility's standards. The position requires a commitment to quality service and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The hours for the available full-time Laundry Assistant position are from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, with every other weekend availability required. Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus, as it enhances communication with a diverse resident population. Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area.
- Wash, dry, and fold linens and garments according to facility standards.
- Ensure all laundry equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in laundry services (preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
