About the position

The Lead Agile Coach at AT&T is a senior-level role focused on driving transformation within assigned programs by promoting and implementing Agile methodologies. This position requires expertise in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and aims to enhance team maturity in Agile practices. The Agile Coach will mentor teams, provide training, and ensure the successful adoption of Agile principles across the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, predictability, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Educate employees at all levels on Agile principles and provide tools for implementation.
  • Conduct training sessions to facilitate organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies.
  • Mentor teams in Agile practices, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
  • Collaborate with employees across various levels and roles to enhance understanding of Agile.
  • Implement Agile processes, principles, and practices across all departments.
  • Use techniques to increase collaboration, predictability, and transparency.
  • Lead by example and embody Agile principles.

Requirements

  • 5 years of Technical Agile coaching experience
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps
  • Experience with Digital Transformations (waterfall to Agile)
  • Experience with Lean Agile methodologies, including SAFe
  • Ability to support multiple teams simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop a coaching strategy tailored to each team's needs
  • SAFe SPC 6.0 certification and ability to train for SAFe certifications

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience coaching teams in Agile adoption or as a Scrum Master
  • TDD/BDD Coaching experience
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, ADO, and PowerBI
