About The Position

The Lead Analyst in Credit Pricing & Analytics at OneMain Financial is responsible for optimizing credit risk underwriting and pricing strategies to enhance business results. This role involves analyzing historical customer performance data, implementing strategies for loan approvals, pricing, and risk management, and driving profitable growth through data-driven insights and automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree (Graduate Preferred) in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science.
  • 4+ years of relevant analytical experience.
  • Strong SQL, SAS, and Excel skills required.
  • Experience with multiple types of relational databases and BI tools/platforms is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in a complex, data-driven problem-solving environment.
  • Innovative and capable of developing a highly analytical approach to solving problems.
  • Lending or consumer finance industry experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with additional programming languages.
  • Familiarity with decision tree analytical software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, recommend, document, and execute consumer credit underwriting and pricing strategies.
  • Extract and analyze historical customer performance data from multiple systems.
  • Utilize data query tools (R, SAS, SQL, MATLAB, Python) for strategy development and testing.
  • Leverage regression models and machine learning algorithms to estimate customer behaviors.
  • Develop strategy optimization frameworks with a full credit-cycle view.
  • Implement Quality Control processes to ensure data accuracy.
  • Enhance existing processes and reporting through automation and insights.
  • Summarize and present results and insights to management.
