About The Position

The Lead API / Services Developer position at Motion Recruitment Partners involves working with a renowned global bank to design and develop APIs and services. This contract role offers a hybrid work schedule and requires extensive experience in software development, particularly in API and services development. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective solution architecture and system design.

Requirements

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in software development with a focus on API/Services development.
• Experience in one or more of the following technologies: Springboot, Apache Camel, Openshift, AWS, Kubernetes.
• Lead Developer with strong programming skills and hands-on coding experience in required technologies.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps principles.
• Experience in API Gateway, like Apigee.
• Experience in JSON, XML, YAML, XSD, XSLT, and XPATH.
• Excellent communication skills with strong experience in stakeholder management.

Nice To Haves

• Experience on Messaging layer like Kafka, IBM MQ, JMS.
• Experience in finance domain.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in estimating/scoping solutions meeting business requirements, and assist in incorporation of these into solution architecture documents.
• Lead scoping and design sessions across cross-functional and cross regional teams.
• Analyze, define and document system architecture and design for business processes, data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls.
• Ensure design of the integrated environment is capable of reaching maximum levels of availability, efficiency, scalability and security.
• Provide input into and lead the technical infrastructure design.
• Development of POCs and development templates.
