About the position

The Lead Application Developer at MedInsight is responsible for leading a team of application developers to create scalable web solutions. This role involves collaboration with various teams to translate requirements into functional software, ensuring high-quality results and continuous innovation in application development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee software development products while managing a team of application developers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of new analytic and web-based applications.
  • Research, design, and develop new solutions using C# and other cloud technologies.
  • Maintain and extend existing web-based applications.
  • Ensure the development team follows our SDLC and other best practices.
  • Provide mentorship to your team, working with individuals on their goals and career development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in application development.
  • Intermediate proficiency with several technologies: C#, React, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Knowledge of and experience with software architecture frameworks and design patterns.
  • Experience in cloud technologies.
  • Experience using big data technologies (e.g., Databricks, Azure Synapse) to manage large data sets.
  • Exposure to reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Sharp critical thinking skills, sound judgment and decision-making ability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with source code management systems.
  • An inherent sense of the value of collaboration and the desire to mentor your team.
  • The ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment where the client is always first.
