About the position

The Lead Azure Data Engineer position is a 6-month contract role based in Blue Ash, OH, requiring extensive experience in data engineering and leadership. The role involves working in a hybrid environment and focuses on utilizing Azure technologies to manage and optimize data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers in the design and implementation of data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Data Bricks.
• Utilize Python and Py Spark for data processing and transformation tasks.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Implement CI/CD practices for data engineering projects.

Requirements

• 15 years of experience in data engineering and related fields.
• Proven leadership experience in managing data engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Py Spark for data processing.
• Experience with SQL for database management and querying.
• Hands-on experience with Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Data Bricks.
