About the position

As a Lead BI Analyst at CDW, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the digital user journey and optimizing the performance of the CDW website and mobile app. Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive data and analytics support, working closely with product and marketing teams to align with their goals and roadmap. You will proactively develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure both existing and new product features, while also uncovering actionable insights that will inform business decision-making and shape the digital product roadmap. In this role, you will be tasked with building data models for new KPI measurements and implementing data structures in collaboration with the data engineering team. You will also automate dashboards using PowerBI and Adobe Cloud services, and streamline business reporting processes through automation of PowerPoint slides and other critical analytics components using Python. Your expertise in Python will be essential for developing algorithms that capture and explain changes in trends and anomalies in key metrics. Collaboration will be key as you work with the product team to provide technical expertise in building metrics and KPIs that measure the success of new products and features. You will translate business needs into requirements for new data elements, both client-side and server-side. Additionally, you will create business cases that contribute to annual planning discussions by brainstorming and researching the development of new products. A deep understanding of the CDW business model, processes, and customer engagement will be crucial for providing ad hoc analysis that offers insights into the complex business and technology environment. You will be expected to propose and build innovative solutions to business problems through scalable and robust analytics services, while adhering to principles of continuous improvement in operations, communication, and engagement with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build data model behind new KPI measurement and implement data structure in collaboration with data engineering team
  • Build and automate dashboards by using PowerBI and Adobe Cloud services
  • Automate business comments, Power Point slides, and other critical analytics components via Python
  • Build Python algorithms to capture and explain change in trends and anomalies in key metrics
  • Collaborate with product team to provide technical expertise in building metrics and KPIs for measuring success of new products and features
  • Create business cases related to brainstorming and researching development of new products to contribute in annual planning discussions
  • Develop deep understanding for CDW business model, processes, and engagement with business customers
  • Provide ad hoc analysis for deeper understanding of complex business and technology environment
  • Propose and build innovative solutions to business problems via scalable and robust analytics services
  • Follow principles of continuous improvement for operating, communication, and engagement model across analytics team and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in advanced analytics, including expertise in BI/visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience in advanced object-oriented programming on Python in a professional environment
  • Exposure to Big Data stack environments (EMR, Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive)
  • Strong critical thinking
  • Advanced SQL knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with A/B Testing & Optimization techniques
