About The Position

The Lead Budtender at KUR, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the budtending team at the new Embr Dispensary in Springfield, MA. This full-time role involves providing exceptional customer service, maintaining compliance with cannabis regulations, and ensuring effective inventory management. The Lead Budtender will also play a key role in achieving sales goals and fostering customer loyalty through product knowledge and team leadership.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of lead or supervisor experience
• Must be 21 years of age or over
• Preferred budtending experience inside a dispensary
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Precise math skills
• Organizational skills
• Multi-task oriented
• Stress management and composure
• Must submit and pass a Department of Criminal Justice criminal background check (LiveScan)
• Have a valid California Medical Recommendation and a valid California ID
• Knowledge of marijuana strains, edibles, extracts, and current products on the market
• English/Spanish speaking
• Authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Opening & closing team member drawers
• Opening & closing storefront
• Leading the budtending team
• Coordinating breaks & communication between shifts
• Keeping up to date on local, state, and Bureau of Cannabis Control regulations
• Assisting in inventory or sales positions
• Maintaining proper cash handling procedures
• Ensuring POS counters are ready when the dispensary opens
• Running side work, stocking, and cleaning during downtime
• Maintaining fully stocked and clean POS counters
• Completing opening and closing cleaning and organization
• Participating in periodic staff cleanings and meetings
• Greeting all guests as they arrive and depart
• Providing excellent customer service to all customers
• Informing Inventory and Management of low product inventory
• Ensuring each customer receives full attention during transactions
• Handling customer disputes, price corrections, and sales floor inventory
• Maintaining product visuals
• Keeping personal items off the sales floor
• Being knowledgeable about cannabis-related products and trends
• Ensuring a clean and professional appearance and work station
• Performing other duties as assigned
